Do you sometimes feel like one of those Israelites wandering around in the desert? Trying to keep your focus on God, but often slipping? I sure do, and would like to encourage you to join along with me as I wander behind where God leads.
I am glad you are here, and I pray you find hope and joy in the words, art, and useful resources!

Seeking Joy

Finding hidden things...
Beachcombers know that the prime time for shell collecting is during low tide. As the water recedes off the beach, it reveals beautiful ocean treasures that have been hidden.
Scripture tells us that God has given us His hidden treasure. Isaiah 45:3 says,
"And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness—secret riches.
I will do this so you may know that I am the Lord,
the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name."
And in Matthew 13, Jesus tells us about the man who discovers a hidden treasure in a field and is so filled with joy, he sells all that he has to buy the field. This parable is describing what the Kingdom of Heaven is like. Our joy is found in the Lord, and in knowing that we have a treasure awaiting us beyond our wildest dreams.
I encourage you to look for the hidden treasures in the every day. Some days can be so tough, but God always provides something for us to be thankful for. He places reminders about His love for us everywhere... we just have to look. Especially during low tide.
